University Of Pune Notification for Admission to M.Tech, M.Tech -Ph.D(Integrated) and Ph.D
M.Tech. M.Tech-Ph.D. (Integrated), and Ph.D. Program:
The Department of Technology offers M.Tech, M.Tech-Ph.D. (Integrated), and Ph.D Program under following branches
- Chemical & Biotechnology (CB)
- Civil & Environmental Technology (CE)
- Computer & Information Technology (CI)
- Electronics & Electrical Technology (EE)
- Mechanical & Materials Technology (MM)
Each program comprises of several core and elective courses and project work. The Department in tune with Industry partners aims at addressing critical edge research issues, thus bringing out technological advancement for real deployment. Students completing the Programme successfully can look forward for illustrious careers in Private Industries, Government Organization, Research Laboratories and Academia across the globe.
ELIGIBILITY
M.Tech. Programme: B.E / B.Tech /B.S. in respective branches.
M.Tech-Ph.D. (Integrated) Program: B.E. /B.Tech. /B.S. or equivalent in respective branches OR M.Sc. in allied area.
Ph.D Program: M.E./ M.Tech in respective branches
*Final year appearing students may also apply for M.Tech./Integrated M.Tech./Ph.D.
ADMISSION
All admissions will be done through the ENTRANCE TEST, followed by Interview.
DETAILS OF THE ENTRANCE TEST
The entrance test will have MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) designed to assess Mathematical, General Science and Technical knowledge.
The number of questions will be 50. Duration of Test will be of 2 hours with scheme of negative marking. Number of questions in sections I- 20 and in section II- 30.
Syllabus for Section I- Applied Mathematics and General Science and it will be common for all branches.
Syllabus for Section II- Same as Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) as per respective branches in Engineering.
GATE Score candidate will not be exempted from Entrance Test.
APPLICATION FEE DETAILS
Rs. 500/- for open category students.
Rs. 300/- for Reserved category candidates of Maharashtra State only.
ENTRANCE EXAM CENTRE
Pune, Ahmednagar, Nashik, Nagpur, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata.
RESERVATION
As per the Government of Maharashtra rules. 50% seats are reserve for SC, ST, DTNT & OBC.
3% seats are reserved for Physically Handicapped Students.
5% seats are reserved for Defense Personals child/ Ex. Serviceman child.
SCHOLARSHIP
Few Scholarships will be offered by Industries, based on the Interview performance.
INTAKE
Maximum intake for each branch: M.Tech. – 20 seats, M.Tech-Ph.D. (Integrated) – 4 seats, Ph.D Programs- 4 seats.
