Eligibility Criteria for being a Navratna company: 

  • A score of 60 (out of 100), based on six parameters which include net profit, net worth, total manpower cost, total cost of production, cost of services, PBDIT (Profit Before Depreciation, Interest and Taxes), capital employed, etc.
  • A company must first be a Miniratna and have 4 independent directors on its board before it can be made a Navratna.

1. Bharat Electronics Limited [ Non GATE ]

EXAM SCHEDULE : From MAY to AUGUST

METHOD OF SELECTION: Selection will be through written test and interview of shortlisted candidates based on performance in the written test.

The written test will consist of Objective type questions from basic Engineering subjects, in the respective disciplines / specialisations and General Aptitude. The list of candidates short-listed in the written test for interview, will tentatively appear on the BEL website. They will be required to appear for an interview for final selection. The results of selection will be available on the BEL website through query mode.

SCALE OF PAY: Candidates selected against the above position, will be placed in E-II grade, at the minimum of the pay scale of Rs.16400-3%-40500/- . In addition, they will be entitled to DA, HRA, Conveyance Allowance, Performance Related Pay, Medical Reimbursement and other perquisites as admissible.

BRANCH ALLOWED IN 2014:  Electronics, MechanicaL, Computer Science,Civil, Electrical

2. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited [ Via GATE ]

METHOD OF SELECTION IN BPCL

SCALE OF PAY:

    • Candidates selected as “Management Trainee” would be placed in Job Group “A” on a basic salary of ` 24,900/- (Scale of Pay `24,900 – ` 50,500). In addition, Dearness Allowance (DA) based on IDA pattern is payable. House Rent Assistance, if applicable will vary based on the class of city of posting.
    • The total emoluments at entry level for Management Trainees are presently ` 10.5 Lakhs per annum (approx. cost to company). This includes 50% of Basic Pay as Perks & Allowances, Performance Related Pay & 30% of Basic plus DA as superannuation benefits (Provident Fund, Gratuity & New Pension Scheme). Our perquisites include housing / vehicle loan facilities, medical reimbursement for self / dependant family members, LFA, Holiday home facility, Group Savings Linked Insurance Scheme etc.

BRANCH ALLOWED IN 2014: Mechanical (Excludes Automation /Production/ Mechatronics/ Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering), Chemical.

3. Container Corporation of India Limited [ Via GATE ]

METHOD OF SELECTION IN CONCOR: Based on the marks secured by the registered candidates in the prescribed GATE  paper they will be shortlisted for further selection process in CONCOR- Group Discussion and Interview. Please note that only that year GATE Scores are valid for this recruitment, prior GATE Scores are not valid.

SCALE OF PAY: 16,400-40,500/-

4. Engineers India Limited [ Non GATE ]

EXAM SCHEDULE:  From August to October

METHOD OF SELECTION IN EIL:
The selection methodology will comprise of Written Test and Interview. The candidates short-listed in the written test shall only be eligible to appear for interview.
i) Written Test:
Eligible candidates will be required to appear for an objective type written test at any one of the test centres. The test will comprise of two sections – Technical section comprising of 100 questions related to qualifying degree for the position and General Aptitude section comprising of 50 questions covering Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, Reasoning and English Language. The duration of test will be two hours. Each question shall carry 1 mark and 1/4th mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. The test will be in English language.
The written test is tentatively scheduled to be conducted in 1 st week of October, 2013.
ii) Interview:
Candidates short listed on the basis of their performance in the written test will be required to appear for an interview and the intimation for interview will be given to the candidates through e-mail. All such candidates will be paid to & fro second class rail fare by the shortest route from the mailing address, as mentioned in the application, to the interview centre.
Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks separately in the written test, and also in the personal interview to be eligible to be considered for further selection.

SCALE OF PAY: During the one year training period, the monthly emoluments shall be Rs.35,000/-(Rupees Thirty Five Thousand) + Accommodation & Transport or Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand) if accommodation & transport is not provided; during the training period, other benefits like Medical will be provided to the Trainee as per Company policy applicable from time to time.
On successful completion of training, the Management Trainees will be considered for absorption in the regular pay scale of Rs.24900-50500. They shall thereafter be on probation for a period of one year. Upon absorption, besides Basic Pay, the employee is entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), HRA, Allowances at 50% of Basic Pay (under cafeteria approach) and Retiral Benefits upto 30% of Basic Pay and DA (including Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity and Superannuation Benefits) as per Company’s policy applicablefrom time to time. In addition to this, Performance Related Pay (PRP) is also paid as per
Company’s policy. Upon absorption, CTC would be approx. Rs 10.5 Lakhs per annum

5. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited [ Non GATE ]

EXAM SCHEDULE : From September to December.

METHOD OF SELECTION IN HAL: Selection process will comprise of All-India based Online Selection Test and the Interviews.

SCALE OF PAY: The approximate Cost to Company (CTC) per annum during training is Rs.4.6 to Rs. 5 lakhs.
