On 29th September 2015, MHRD launched the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in order to rank the educational institutions of India. They adopted a methodology consisting of the following five parameters to decide the NIT Ranking 2019.

Teaching, Learning & Resources parameter check the faculty-student ratio with emphasis on permanent faculty, student strength including doctoral students, combined metric for faculty with Ph.D. (or equivalent) and Experience and total budget and its utilization.
Research and Professional Practice (Important Parameter for PG Students) check publications, quality of publications, the number of IPR and patents granted and licensed, projects and professional practice and executive development programs.
Graduation outcomes (Important Parameter for Students) check placement statics, higher studies, and entrepreneurship, the median salary of placed students, how many graduating students admitted into top universities and number of Ph.D. students graduated
Outreach and inclusivity check region diversity, gender balance, economically and socially challenged students, facilities for physically challenged students.

NIRF Full Score considers all the five parameters mentioned above along with its weightage. It can be seen that on considering all the five parameters, NIT Trichy emerged on the top place among all the NIT institutes of India.
i have got 85 marks in jee mains and 89% in karnataka board can i get any nitss and pls tell my nit rank according to this data

I dont get the reason why NIT Agartala is placed after NIT Silchar….It is true seeing the ORCR of each year..but the problems our friends are facing in NIT S is much more horrible than ours….the rank publisher should talk to at least a few students of each NIT from BTech/MTech and PhD and then publish the rank….by the way nyc work….
