The pay scale is in the grade of Rs. 24,900 – 50,500/- with an increment of 3% per year. Besides Basic Pay,the employee is entitled to allowance @ 47% of Basic Pay under Cafeteria Approach , Dearness Allowance , HRA/Company Accommodation , Mining Allowance , Contributory Provident Fund, Conveyance Maintenance, Substantial Performance Related Pay (PRP), Medical Facility for self and dependents, Gratuity, Post Retirement Benefit Scheme and Composite Social Security Scheme as per Company rules.

ONGC SELECTION PROCESS:

The selection process will comprise of the following:

1. GATE – 2015:The desirous and eligible candidates having the essential qualification for the advertised posts are required to apply and appear in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)2015.
2. The candidates possessing the requisite essential qualification for the advertised posts are required to apply and appear in the GATE-2015 subjects strictly as mentioned against each post at S.NO.2.1.Essential Qualification & GATE Subject with Code under Eligibility Criteria.
3. GATE Online Application Processing system website for online registration for GATE-20 15 Exam shall remain open from 01.09.2014 to 01.10.2014.The candidates are required to apply online during the period.
4. GATE-2015 Exams are scheduled to be held from 31.01.2015 to 14.02.2015 on Saturdays and Sundays for different disciplines. The candidates are required to appear in the exam for their respective subjects on the designated date.
5. The GATE-2015 Scores in the subject mentioned against the posts of ONGC will be considered by ONGC for shortlisting the candidates for the further selection process of Personal Interview as per the criteria decided by the Management.
6. The candidates applying for the post in ONGC should qualify in their respective subjects inGATE-2015. From amongst such candidates. the number of candidates to be called for interview will be in the ratio of 1:5 for each Post, as per merit.
7. The final merit list shall be prepared based on the weightages assigned to various parameters as per following:
   

   i.	GATE-2015 Score	60 Marks
   Ii.	Interview	15 Marks
   iii.	Qualification	25 Marks (20 marks for essential and 05 marks for the additional in-line higher qualification)
   	Total	100Marks

8. In order to be selected, candidates, in addition to fulfilling qualification criteria,are required to qualify in the GATE-20 15 and thereafter again in the interview separately.
9. Departmental candidates shall be given first consideration in matters of selection,while other things such as qualification, eligibility and selection criteria etc. remain the same.
10. Only GATE-2015 Score is valid for this recruitment exercise in ONGC under this advertisement. Score from GATE-2014 or from any previous GATE examination is not valid.

ONGC HOW TO APPLY

1. Candidates willhave to separately apply online to ONGC for which a Link will be activated onwww.ongcindia.com,tentatively after January,2015.
2. In ONGC’s on-line application, candidates will have to give theirGATE-2015 Registration Number.
3. ONGC will not be responsible if candidates wrongly fill upGATE-2015 Registration Number in ONGC online application. As such,candidates should take care to correctly fill in the GATE-2015 Registration Number.
4. Candidates can apply for only one post even though they may be eligible for more than one Post.
5. Where there are no vacancies for reserved category, such candidates can apply for Unreserved Posts, but relaxation in age will not be applicable to them.
6. The exact date and period of go live of online application registration site will be intimated by a notification in the Website of ONGC indue course. Candidates are required to visit www.ongcindia.com regularly to get the updates.
