• Candidates should have passed the degree in first attempt.
• Integrated Courses or courses with 5 year or more course duration would not be eligible for the position.

However, they must fulfil the eligibility criteria in all respect w.r.t. educational qualifications, percentage of marks, age, etc. and if such candidates are short listed for interview, they will have to submit documentary proof of having passed the degree examination with the prescribed percentage of marks.

• Excludes Automation / Production / Mechatronics / Manufacturing / Industrial / Electronics Engineering etc. These exclusions are only indicative and not exhaustive.

• Candidates, belonging to General and OBC (Non- Creamy Layer/NCL) categories, should have secured minimum 60% marks in qualifying degree examination.
• The applicable minimum percentage of marks for Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) /Persons With Disability (PWD) candidates is 50%.
• Candidates in the final year of engineering studies belonging to General and OBC (NCL) categories, should have secured minimum 60% marks( in aggregate upto last semester), relaxable to 50% for SC/ST/ PWD candidates.

Wherever CGPA/OGPA/DGPA or Letter Grade is awarded, its equivalent percentage of marks must be indicated in the application form as per norms adopted by University / Institute.

Rounding off of percentage would not be allowed.

• General Candidates : Maximum 25 years
• OBC (Non Creamy layer) : Maximum 28 years
• SC/ST: Maximum 30 years
• PWDs with degree of disability 40% or above : Age relaxation of up to 10 years
• Candidates domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir between 1.1.1980 and 31.12.1989 : Age relaxation of up to 5 years
• Ex-servicemen & Commissioned Officers (including ECOs & SSCOs, subject to rendering minimum 5 years’ military service and fulfillment of other conditions prescribed by Government of India : Age relaxation of up to 5 years

& PWD categories will need to furnish valid caste certificates & PWD Certificates respectively as per the formats prescribed by Government of India.

For getting the benefits of reservation under OBC (NCL) category:

1. The name of caste and community of the candidate must appear in the ’Central list of other Backward es’
2. The candidates must not belong to creamy layer. The candidates need to furnish their OBC certificate as per the format prescribed by Government of India and it must not be more than 6 months old.

• Candidates provisionally selected by BPCL will have to undergo a Pre Employment Medical Examination before joining. The health of candidates will be assessed by Company’s Authorized Medical Officers/ nominated hospitals and the appointment will be subject to meeting the medical standards prescribed by the Company.
