IIIT-H is inviting applications for the academic year 2015-16 from the candidates who have completed (or going to complete by July 2015) B.Tech./B.E./B.Arch. etc., in any branch of Engineering, BSc in Physics, Chemistry or Biology with good Mathematics background, or M.Tech./M.E./MCA/M.Sc./M.A. for admission into Postgraduate and Research programs in the areas of Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, VLSI & Computer Engineering, Computational Linguistics, Computer Aided Structural Engineering, Bioinformatics, Computational Natural Sciences (Dual-Degree & MSc), IT in Building Sciences, Spatial Informatics (Remote Sensing and GIS) and Humanities.

Admission into M.Tech./M.S by Research/Ph.D. Programmes is very flexible at IIIT Hyderabad. A student with an Engineering or Science degree in any field/area can seek admission into any other field/area for higher studies. For instance, a candidate who has completed B.Tech. in Electronics/Electrical/Civil Engineering can apply for M.Tech./M.S./Ph.D in Computer Science, VLSI & Computer Engineering and Bioinformatics.
(Selection to Postgraduate Courses is based on performance in Entrance Test and Interview ( Gate Qualifying or Score is not mandatory for Selection of Postgraduate courses at IIIT Hyderabad )

Admission Procedure
Admission to Postgraduate programmes will be based on the performance in the Postgraduate Entrance Examination (PGEE 2015) and an interview to be held at IIIT Hyderabad
About Postgraduate Entrance Examination (PGEE 2015):
An all-India examination to test the preparedness of the applicants will be held on 19 April, 2015. The examination will be held at Hyderabad and a number of major cities in the country depending on the number of applicants from each region. The entrance examination will consist of two papers. Paper I test the general aptitude of the candidate and will consist of objective questions from Mathematics, Programming, and Logical Reasoning. Paper II is the Subject Paper, which tests the candidate’s subject knowledge.
Application Fees:
- Applicants can apply for one or more programmes in the same form by indicating choices.
- The application fee is Rs. 2000/- for one programme and Rs. 50/- extra for each additional programme applied for.
- Application fee can be paid either through Credit Card or through Demand Draft.
- Credit Card – While filling-in the Main Registration form, the candidate can opt for Credit Card option follow the subsequent instruction.
- Demand Draft– While filling-in the Main Registration form, the candidate can opt for Demand Draft option. After submitting the Main Registration form. Demand Draft in favor of IIIT Hyderabad for appropriate amount should be drawn. A candidate must write application number (received in the confirmation mail) along with the name, email id on the reverse side of the demand draft and send the same to the Chairman, PG Admissions, IIIT, Gachibowli, Hyderabad-500032, Andhra Pradesh.
Course Fees
For M.Tech: Rs 90,000 per semester
For MS: Rs 75,000 per semester
For PhD: Rs 75,000 per semester
